Career description
The Business Application Specialist in Finance will be part of the Business Processes and Development team in Uponor Business Solutions Centre which is responsible for the continuous development of Uponor’s Oracle EBS based European wide ERP solution (U2) and has also a major role in solution support and maintenance of this ERP solution.
Location and country:
Preferably at Uponor office Vantaa, Finland or at other existing Uponor Business Solutions Centre locations at Lahti (Finland), Hassfurt (Germany) or Mostoles (Spain), but any country where Uponor has physical offices will be feasible.
At the beginning of the assignment the person is expected to be located for a minimum of two months at the Uponor office in Vantaa to ensure effective orientation for the job.
Description of duties:
Within the scope of the U2 solution in the Finance functional area (currently Oracle EBS Finance modules and business processes and Oracle EBS’s integrations to other Finance area systems)
Taking part in third level incident management
Taking part in problem management and managing problem resolution
Together with the Concept Owner analysing and designing changes before approval and managing implementation of approved changes, documenting changes and making required setups/configuration in the system(s)
Ensuring the quality of change implementation by developing tests scripts and conducting functional testing together with key users in close co-operation with the BSC Test Manager
Participating in development/enhancement/feasibility study projects when separately agreed
Support deployment of changes by liaising with key users
Reporting to: Concept Owner, Finance.
Qualifications
Preferably at least Bachelor’s degree
Knowledge and experience of finance area functionality of ERP system(s) in multinational implementation
Knowledge on business processes within the Finance functional area
Fluent in English
Ability to travel (minimum one week / month depending on location)
Good skills in gathering and documenting requirements (in English)
Skills in designing solutions based on user requirements
Experience in IT system testing
Experience in working in projects
Good planning and organisation skills
Good problem solving skills
Good communication skills
Great team player and able to take responsibility
Beneficial to have:
- Knowledge and experience of core finance ERP functionality for Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables and General Ledger
- Knowledge and experience of Oracle EBS Financials modules (R12 preferably)
- Knowledge and experience of working/supporting shared service types of organisations
- Business experience within Finance
